AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE GEORGE 111 SATINWOOD & MAHOGANY SERVING TABLE OF SIGNIFICANT SCALE.

AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE GEORGE 111 SATINWOOD & MAHOGANY SERVING TABLE OF SIGNIFICANT SCALE.

An 18th century serving table with the original brass metalwork, chandeliers and terminating in candle arms. The shaped top above a frieze containing drawers and supported on square tapering legs.

As far as our research shows, this is the only known example to exist with its own integral chandeliers.

Serving tables were constructed with splash rails, onto which fabric would be placed to protect the expensive silk damask on the walls.

This serving table is both exceptional in scale and quality and would look wonderful in a dining or reception room.

English. Circa 1770.
