The Buck brothers completed this monumental panorama of London on five sheets and when joined stretched to over 400cm long. The panorama is of the north bank of the Thames from Westminster Bridge to London Bridge. All the major buildings and landmarks are numbered with a key below. The full panorama was drawn from multiple vantage points along the River Thames and offers an expansive view of the city, blending together Westminster Bridge and London Bridge, extending downstream to the Tower of London.
Samuel and Nathaniel Buck were among the most prominent topographical artists in 18th-century England.
