A PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY SCOTTISH GLASS DECANTERS.

Height 17.5cm / 6.9 inches 

Pair of plain barrel decanters with bullseye stoppers, two annulated neck rings and two bands of glass trailed horizontally around the outer body of the decanter similar to neck rings. These are sometimes known as of pulley rings.  

Note: This style of decanter are known to have been made in the Verreville Glassworks Glasgow, Richardson Stourbridge and  the Holywood Glass Works Edinburgh.For similar decanters see: The Decanter An Illustrated History of Glass from 1650 by Andy McConnel p. 211 Plate 302
