A magnificent large-scale country house camel-back sofa, inspired by the celebrated designs of Paul Saunders.

The elegantly shaped camel back is flanked by generous outscrolled arms, all raised on finely carved cabriole legs. Each leg is richly ornamented with carved acanthus decoration within an encircled detail, terminating in elegant scrolled feet.

We have recently traditionally upholstered the sofa in hessian and is supplied with a squab cushion, ready for the purchaser's choice of final fabric. 

Its generous proportions, fine quality carving and wonderfully decorative form make it an ideal statement piece for a country house or classical interior.

A particularly handsome and impressive late 19th-century sofa of exceptional scale and presence.
